Greek video game development studio Dragonis Games announces an important milestone in its journey, as both Necrophosis and The Shore are set to receive physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The release comes through a collaboration with British publisher PQube for Necrophosis Full Consciousness, while The Shore: Enhanced Edition is being published in partnership with the Greek company Iphigame.

Five years after the original launch of The Shore on PC, creator and Game Director Ares Dragonis, alongside Brand & Marketing Specialist Alexander Gorbenko and Developer Adonis Brosteanu, continue expanding Dragonis Games’ presence within the international gaming industry.

The physical console releases mark a new chapter for the whole Greek gaming scene, allowing players to own the games in retail form while strengthening the visibility of Greek-created titles on international console platforms.

The team also announced that the upcoming new content expansion for Necrophosis, titled “Subconsciousness,” will launch on May 28, 2026 for PC, further expanding the game’s universe with new content and experiences.

This journey is not only about commercial success, but also reflects the growing momentum of the Greek video game industry. Through initiatives, international delegations, and networking opportunities organized by GDA Greece in collaboration with Creative Greece / EKKOMED, Greek studios are gaining access to international publishers and partnerships, creating new opportunities for the local game development ecosystem. One of the strongest examples of this momentum was the Greek delegation at Gamescom 2025, where Ares Dragonis represented Dragonis Games and finalized the publishing agreement with British publisher PQube.

On June 2, 2026, Dragonis Games and PQube will host a celebratory showcase event at Public Syntagma in Athens, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet the development team, experience the physical editions firsthand, and celebrate this important moment for the Greek gaming scene.

In parallel, the Greek Game Developers Association continues actively supporting the growth of the Greek gaming industry on both local and international levels, participating in upcoming events such as the Greek delegation at Gamescom 2026 and Gameathlon 2026. Through these initiatives, the association aims to further strengthen the international presence of Greek game development and create new opportunities and collaborations for the future.

Alexander Gorbenko, Brand & Marketing Specialist at Dragonis Games and community manager of GDA Greece, stated:

“Creativity is what unites our community and gives us the ability to transform ideas into experiences that travel worldwide. Stay Creative.”
